Fabry
Fabry disease is a rare inherited disorder that results from the buildup of a particular type of fat called globotriaosylceramide, in the body’s cells. Fabry belongs to a group of lysosomal storage disorders and symptoms may include kidney insufficiency and failure, heart disease, reduced appetite and stroke. It is estimated that Fabry disease affects an estimated 1 in 40,000 to 60,000 males in the U.S.
