About Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy

Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a neurological disorder characterized by progressive weakness in the arms and legs, accompanied by impairment of sensory functions. It is caused by damage to the myelin sheath of the peripheral nerves in the arms and legs. CIDP can be mild or very severe, leading to diminished quality of life for many.
